Hello,
Thank you for your message.
With the latest update, we are using an automated method to connect the websites.
We are yet to update our KB article on how to use a custom app:
https://rankmath.com/kb/create-a-google-api-project/
You can expect the KB article to be updated within the next few weeks as the entire team is focused on working on the Pro version of the plugin.
For the meantime, you can disable the Analytics module.
Hope that helps. If there’s anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
Weeks? Wow that’s too long. Forget about analytics, but even for search console, how do I enable it with a custom app and by not using your automated method? I just clearly feel uncomfortable. And I think your focus is headed in the completely wrong direction. You should focus less on the Pro version and care more about usability first unless you’re saying making money is the priority for you, in which case it’s okay. I will gladly shift to another provider.
P.S. It’s not just me who feels negative about this automated method but many more people on Reddit. I hope you care about your Reddit Enthusiasts(?) 🙂
Hello,
We work on sprints and as soon as that is complete, we will work on updating the article. We can not break the sprints in between.
The new method is not easy to write as it involves some additional coding due to the automated nature of the process.
A. For now, if you wish, you can use the previous version by following this:
https://rankmath.com/kb/version-control/#a-how-to-rollback-rank-math-to-a-previous-version
B. Disable the Analytics module till we update the article.
C. Wait till we update the KB article with the new steps involved.
Also, you can read our plugin usage policy here:
https://rankmath.com/usage-tracking/#search-console-data
This is just an app, all the data gets stored and processed on your server. Out of all, you must know what data the app stores as you can see that inside your Google console.
The only data that shows up there is the number of overall API requests. We do not break them down on per site/domain basis.
Sorry to disappoint but at this time, we can only request you to wait as the Analytics module is completely optional. You can turn that off if you want to stick with the latest version which is what we recommend.
You can view all the stats inside your Google Search Console, Google Analytics & Google AdSense.
We seek your understanding and patience in this matter.
Thank you.
Hello Rank Math Team!
When can we expect the KB article update?
Several weeks have passed, I don’t want to give access to the data. The old method doesn’t work, and making a downgrade is a bad idea.
Hello,
We are working to make sure the steps are clearly outlined with each stage and as soon as we are done we will work on updating the article.
Please note that the new method is not easy to write as it involves some additional coding due to the automated nature of the process, please be patient with us in the matter.
Looking forward to helping you.
