I have two url addresses and one of them should be redirected. I don’t want https://giocone.com/, but just https://giocone.com.
Then the redirect from https://giocone.com/ to https://giocone.com.
If we don’t do this, search engines give less value to the site, as they don’t know what the main address is.
Why? Both addresses lead to the homepage, but neither says what the correct redirect is in case of typing incorrectly.
The translation of a response from Semrush staff: “My name is Tales and I am writing on behalf of the Semrush technical support team.
This is something you should double check in the hosting server. You currently have both versions indexed there. One .com and the other .com/.
My suggestion is to leave only one version and remove the other since they are the same website with the same content.
You can also ask the hosting server support to remove one of the versions for you.
I send a copy of each website (as our bots see it) here in this email message and you can verify that it is exactly the same content.
For anything else I remain available:
Thank you and I wish you a beautiful Wednesday,”
Should I use the canonical homepage url at https://giocone.com?
