How do I connect Rank Math to Google Search Console for SUB Domain?

    Rank Math free

I connected my root domain just fine using the login to RankMatch and integrating Search Console using the Setup Wizard, but when I tried to connect a sub domain (a new site on that same root domain) to Search Console, it doesn’t seem to auto create the sub domain site inside search console. It doesn’t give me an option to choose the sub domain from the drop down list. Also, when I press “test connection” it errors out. I’ve tried reconnecting over and over and nothing…

    Wheres the sub domain option?

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with connecting your subdomain to Google Search Console through Rank Math. It seems that the subdomain is not being recognized in the dropdown list, which can be frustrating.

To connect a subdomain to Google Search Console, you need to ensure that the subdomain is verified in your Google Search Console account. Here are some steps you can follow:

    1. Verify the Subdomain: Make sure that you have added and verified the subdomain in Google Search Console separately from the root domain. Each subdomain is treated as a separate property.

    2. Check Permissions: Ensure that you have granted all necessary permissions when connecting Rank Math to your Google account. If any permissions are denied, it might hinder the connection process.

    3. Reconnect: After verifying the subdomain in Google Search Console, try reconnecting Rank Math to your Google account again. You can do this by going to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics and following the prompts.

    4. Test Connection: Once you have selected the verified subdomain from the dropdown list, try testing the connection again.

    Hello,

Please note that Rank Math and Google both consider your sub-domain as a new website. So, if you want to index your sub-domain, you can follow the same optimization method as your main domain.

Hello I already know this. I’m asking why RankMath doesn’t automatically submit or manage my sub domain in Google search console.

    Hello,

Can you please confirm if you were trying to connect your Google account with Rank Math from your sub-domain website?

If so, it could be some permissions issues which may prevent Rank Math from creating the property on your GSC account. However, since you’ve already created the property manually, you should be able to connect this with Rank Math Analytics without any issues.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
