    Rank Math free

    Hello everyone,

I just figured out that the homepage is missing in the sitemap.
Our website is quite small, there are 4 pages in total.
You can check it out on the following link
I’m running the latest version, 1.0.84 and I’ve done everything I was able to find on the internet.

    1.) Verified “noindex” is disabled.
    2.) Verified https://connected.hr/sitemap_index.xml is accessible.
3.) Excluded the paths from the LiteSpeed cache according to your tutorial.
4.) Re-added the sitemap manually to the Google Search Console

    I ran out the ideas.
Do you have any ideas in your sleeve?

    Thank you!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hey Jeremy,
I added the necessary information, would you mind checking if out?
    Thanks!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

Upon checking, it seems that you have added a custom canonical URL to your homepage, that’s why it is not showing in the sitemap.

Please note that Rank Math automatically generates the canonical URL for all your pages if they are set to index. The main purpose of adding a custom canonical to your pages is to let Google know that it is a duplicate page, and not to be indexed.

If you also set the canonical manually, your posts/pages will not be included in your sitemap. Here’s a link for more information:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/url-not-in-sitemap/#num-2-youve-set-a-custom-canonical-url

However, I’ve already removed the custom canonical URL you have added, and your homepage is already showing in your sitemap.

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Whoa Reinelle!
    You nailed it! 👏
Thank you very much for your time and effort!
It makes me wonder, if RankMath Free support is soooo good, how good is the premium support! Keep up the great work!
    Best regards!
