Homepage Meta Description does not show up

    Hi guys,

    We are using the latest Rank Math version and something odd happened with the meta description (I guess after upgrading the plugin). We can’t update/add the meta description for the Static homepage. It only shows in Rankmath schema.

    Could you please take a look? Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    I’ve checked your homepage, and it seems that Rank Math is unable to output meta descriptions, as well as the other meta tags in the page’s source code.

    In this case, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Hi team,

    I did try the Health Check – when no plugins other than Rank Math on the site, the issue still exists.

    I asked WPEngine team to whitelist Rankmath from security layer, the issue still exists. All themes and plugins are up-to-date.

    Still can’t add meta description to the Homepage of our client’s site.

    Could you guys help please?

    Please confirm that when you did the Health Check you also tried a default WordPress theme? If the issue was still there, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please create a staging site, you can ask WP Engine support for help. Next edit the first post on this ticket and include your staging site WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
