Homepage description does not show on Google

    Hello Support,

    I have added the page description in all relevant places, however, it is not shown in Google.
    In the Google Search Console, I triggered another crawl, but to no avail.

    Any pointers appreciated.

    Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    I’ve checked few of your page’s source code, and the correct meta description is showing there. You can also verify that using this tool:
    https://heymeta.com

    Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and shows something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better. In this case, the best you can do is optimize your meta description to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

    Aw, that’s a shame, after putting work into SEO that Google then decides to show something else.
    But thanks so much for the link, it was very useful as I do have indeed the same description over a couple of pages, so fixing this might help. 🙂
