Hentry being detected in SCHEMA on the homepage of my site

    Rank Math free

    I have just had to redo the SCHEMA for a site I manage for a client as there was no JSON SCHEMA being detected despite my doing it manually prior to installing Rankmath and the homepage having an SEO score accoriding to Rankmath of 88 with Title and Meta description being entered in the Rankmath section as well as the page section. It still comes back from validator with this :

    hentry
    0 ERRORS
    0 WARNINGS
    expand_less

    @type

    hentry
    entry-title
    Home
    updated
    2024-11-11T10:50:13+10:00
    author

    @type

    hcard
    fn
    applecart

    How can i remove this hentry markup from the site as Google does not like it and there is no need for it – it is definitely being caused by Rankmath as it was never an issue before and I found other examples of people having the same complaint. Homepage is set as a static page but that should not matter. Please help thank you.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    The Hentry schema is added by the theme you’re using on your website, not by the Rank Math plugin and we don’t have any control over this schema.

    You can follow this URL for more details on this schema and how you can remove that: https://hot-themes.com/blog/hentry-errors-google-search-console-wordpress-website/

    Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
