After adding the code you mentioned above, I keep seeing this at the top of my pages all over the site

Another troubleshooting method is to follow these steps:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

3. After that, remove all your sitemaps from your GSC and resubmit only the primary sitemap (sitemap_index.xml).

We added the filter to disable the sitemap caching and it should no longer show an error about that on Google Search Console.
Please make sure that you remove the current sitemap from there and add it again following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/
