Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Google verification number. It sounds frustrating, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
To resolve the issue, please follow these steps:
-
Clear Your Website Cache: If you are using a caching plugin, clear your website cache to ensure that the latest changes are reflected in the source code. You can also clear your server cache if applicable.
-
Check for Minification: If you have minification enabled on your site, it might be affecting how the code is displayed. Try disabling minification temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.
-
Verify in Rank Math: Ensure that you have correctly pasted the new verification number in the Rank Math settings:
- Go to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Webmaster Tools and paste the new code into the Google Search Console field.
- After pasting, scroll down and click Save Changes.
-
Recheck Source Code: After performing the above steps, check your page source again to see if the correct verification number appears.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so we can assist you further. A human agent from our support team will take over and help resolve this issue.
Thank you for your patience, and we hope to get this sorted out for you soon!
Hello,
Please clear your website’s cache and head over to Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > and click the Remove Transients button

Once done, check again if the verification code is still showing incorrectly.
If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
