  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with the search results displaying unwanted subpages. To control which pages show up in Google search results, you need to ensure that the pages you do not want indexed are either removed or properly configured.

Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check for 404 Errors: Since you mentioned that the page shows a 404 error, make sure that the redirect is correctly set up. You can use a plugin like Rank Math to manage redirects effectively. Ensure that the 404 page is redirected to your main site correctly.

    2. Use the Robots.txt File: You can disallow Google from indexing certain pages by adding rules to your robots.txt file. For example:

      User-agent: *
      Disallow: /path-to-your-page/

This will prevent Google from crawling that specific page.

    3. Remove URLs from Google Search Console: If you have access to Google Search Console, you can request the removal of specific URLs. Go to the Removals section and submit the URL you want to remove.

    4. Update Your Sitemap: Ensure that your sitemap does not include the unwanted pages. You can regenerate your sitemap using Rank Math and submit it to Google Search Console.

    5. Check Your Site Name and Title Tags: Make sure your homepage title and H1 tags are set correctly, as these can influence how Google displays your site in search results. You can refer to this article for more details on displaying your site name in search results.

If you continue to experience issues or need further assistance with your settings, we recommend replying to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

We checked your website on Google, and it is showing different sitelinks:

Please note that the sitelinks are currently automated by Google, and there’s nothing we can do from our side to enable or modify those on any website. Here’s the documentation from Google that you can follow to learn more about it: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/sitelinks

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
