  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing issues with Google Search Console and your sitemap. The "Server error (5xx)" indicates a general server-side issue that is preventing Googlebot from accessing your pages. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix this error:

    1. Review Server Logs: Analyze your server logs to pinpoint the specific error and its cause.
    2. Check for Overload Signs: Look for signs of server overload, such as slow response times or high CPU usage.
    3. Verify Settings: Ensure that you are using the correct settings for your site’s PHP, database, and other relevant components. You can check if your PHP version is up to date by following this guide.
    4. Contact Hosting Provider: If the issue persists after checking the above, reach out to your hosting provider for support.

Additionally, if you are experiencing issues specifically with your sitemap, you might want to ensure that it is correctly configured:

    • Validate your sitemap using a tool like Validate XML Sitemap.
    • Ensure that your sitemap is located in the root folder of your WordPress installation.
    • Check that all your posts are set to index in Rank Math settings.

If you would like more comprehensive assistance, we recommend our professional setup service, which ensures your plugin setup is fully correct and adheres to the latest SEO standards. You can sign up for this service at Rank Math Services. This service requires a PRO subscription.

    Hello

Okay, now theres a little bit of more problem than I expected. Sitemap should be and was located before at https://koduvarakamber.com/product-sitemap.xml/ , so says rank math seo plugin on wordpress. This link brings me to 404 error, “Page not found”. So where is my sitemap.xml?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    3. Apply the following filter code to your site.

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

Here’s how you can add filter to your WordPress site:https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

    4. Remove all your sitemaps from your Google Search Console and re-submit only the main sitemap (https://website.com/sitemap_index.xml)

    5. If the issue persists, please try removing all your sitemaps from your GSC account again and try submitting the following: https://website.com/?sitemap=1.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Tried out every step, none of them made a change. Google bot still doesn’t want to recognize the page-sitemap.xml pages (https://koduvarakamber.com/page-sitemap.xml/).

And sitemap_index.xml (https://koduvarakamber.com/sitemap_index.xml) says on Google Search Console, that it couldn’t fetch.

    error:

    Sitemap could not be read

    Hello,

Please note that when you submit your sitemap on GSC, it takes some time to crawl and process it fully. During this time, you may see your sub-sitemaps blank.

In case, you’ve been facing this issue for a long time then you can remove all your submitted sitemaps and resubmit your /?sitemap=1 only to your Google Search Console.

Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your sitemaps. You can monitor the “Last read/crawl date” column in the sitemap index as it will update the date when Google crawls your sitemap.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you
