Google Search Console – QUESTION

    Hello to your team,

I followed your knowledge page guides and set up GA4 and a search console account. But I noticed that when I created the new property GA4 via google analytics, then the rank math plugin automatically created the search console field, for me. As a result, I suppose there is no need to verify my ownership again, asthe status from google is already with green tick? !
See the screenshot in the below link, to see exactly what I mean.

Is it necessary to copy and paste the “Google Search Console verification HTML code”?
And how can I find it,? because the HTML tag is already verified! as a first option. Do I need to verify my website again to find and paste the code via HTML file (as an Additional verification method?)

Iam not sure if this method needs and it adds uneccesary file or code within the website.

    Thanks for your time,
    Best regards.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

If your website already shows a green tick in Google Search Console via the HTML tag verification, you don’t need to re-verify or add the HTML code again.

Rank Math automatically uses the existing verification, so no extra files or code are required. Your GA4 setup and the automatic field in Rank Math have already taken care of the verification process.

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Thanks for the message. I have a last question:
I received the following message from your plugin:

It seems that there are no stats to show right now.

If you can see the site data in your Search Console and Analytics accounts, but not here, then try reconnecting your account and make sure that the correct properties are selected in the Analytics Settings.

The analytics code was deactivated when I tried reconnecting, and then I reactivated the toggle.

Is there any case where the GA code needs to be installed twice?

    Or am I ok? 🙂

    (see the new screenshots above).

    Hello,

No, the GA tracking code should only be installed once.

If you can confirm that you have analytics data in your GSC, please follow this guide to fetch new data from Google to the plugin’s Analytics dashboard: https://rankmath.com/kb/delete-old-analytics-data/

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

I followed your instructions and make rankmath create a new GA4 property from scratch. I also delete the old one, to be sure. However do I need to make any changes into search console? Everything seems to work fine on rankmath settings and sitemap as well. (check now in google search console: last read of sitemap says: 28th April).

The verification process is also fine from the previous time. Sitemaps also are discovered (in the dashboard).

I think I am ok with all of it, now:)

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

Since your Search Console verification remains valid and your sitemaps are successfully discovered and processed, there’s no further action needed in the Search Console. Your new GA4 setup and Rank Math’s connection seem to be working as expected.

If you notice any issues with indexing or analytics data later on, feel free to reach out — but based on your message and the current setup, everything looks good.

We’re here if you need any further help.

Yes, I agree. Thanks for reaching out. I hope everything is fine! I will open a new ticket if anything comes up.

    Hello,

    Glad that helped.

If you have any other concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime so we can assist you further.

    Looking forward to helping you.
