    Hi,
I checked your suggestions to overcome Google COnsole’s “Couldn’t fetch.” error message for the sitemap https://www.biotherapy.asia/post-sitemap.xml

It is excluded from the cache; I checked all parameters and set it up correctly, but I still can’t make it work.

It is just a WordPress post.

I hope we can resolve this together.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

    Best,
    Ivan Roca

  • Hello,

Since everything is fine from our end and your hosting, then there might be some issues on Google’s side. I would suggest you wait further or directly contact their support or their community forum. They should be able to give you further insights into the situation.

    Looking forward to helping you.

How long should we wait? There is no change whatsoever.

    Hello,

There’s no definite time for Google to recrawl your site.

According to Google guidelines, crawling can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. The crawling and indexing of the website depend on the authority and crawl budget of the website.

You may need to wait for Google to update the “Last read” date in your sitemaps section to know if Google has already crawled it.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Is there any specific reason why all other sitemaps can be fetched and post sitemap can’t?

    Hi again,

I am sincerely sorry about the inconvenience. However, the problem does not seem to be coming from Rank Math or you as we’ve already established. This is most likely an error from Google’s end, please try contacting them by posting on the Google Webmasters forum.

Remember to update us on how it goes and let us know how we can help further.

    Cheers,

    no changes whatsoever

    Hello,

We apologize for that but since the sitemap is already working on our end, the only way to move forward is to contact and verify this on Google by contacting them. Can you please confirm if you have already done so as we have suggested previously?

We are looking forward to helping you.

Hi Jeremy, yes, I already did that.

    Thank you.

I received an answer from Google Help Community which essentially dethrones sitemaps. Hm, why all this hustle around it then and make it a selling point in the case of the SEO plugins?

    Google Community Answer:
There is a common misconception that sitemaps are a panacea. In reality, they are actually just a mechanism for you to tell Google “hey, here’s all my best stuff”.

Google always prefers to crawl. If your site has properly spiderable internal links and isn’t huge, it’s really common for the bot to go “Thanks for the info, but I’ll make up my own mind”.

As long as the bot is visiting (check the crawl stats report, which is hidden behind ‘settings’ in GSC), personally I’d not give much thought to if the sitemap is being parsed.

Here’s what Google says on the matter…

    https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/sitemaps/overview

    Hello,

Yes, this assessment is right. Google can choose to find its way through your site, especially if you have really good internal links that point to your other pages. However, having a sitemap is also beneficial, as it gives Google a clear overview of all your pages and their translations.

And taking another glance at your sitemap, it does look like Google is indexing your posts correctly. Your most recent post (https://www.biotherapy.asia/bioqr-therapy-compassionate-effective-healing-for-pets/) has already been indexed on Google (https://i.rankmath.com/i/1jti02). So either Google is finding your content from other sources (like internal linking) OR Google can access your post-sitemap correctly but is inaccurately displaying an error. Either way, the main goal of a sitemap is to get indexed, and that’s what’s happening.

I also want to point out that Rank Math is much more than just a sitemap generator. It’s a complete SEO suite that offers many features to help you optimize your site for search engines and users. You can check out all the features here: https://rankmath.com/wordpress/plugin/seo-suite/

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. I hope this explains everything clearly, but if you have any other questions or need more help, please let me know.

Hi, I know the Rank Math features and how good it is. Otherwise, I wouldn’t use it. Google indexed my posts because I requested them manually to be indexed. Hope Google will catch up now.

    Thank you guys.

    Hello,

As there’s nothing wrong with the sitemap and even Google is indexing the post (though it’s manual) which means nothing is wrong with the page in terms of meta. Hence, the only option we are left now it to wait and let Google correct itself.

In the meantime do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you

    Thank you!
