Hi,
I checked your suggestions to overcome Google COnsole’s “Couldn’t fetch.” error message for the sitemap https://www.biotherapy.asia/post-sitemap.xmlIt is excluded from the cache; I checked all parameters and set it up correctly, but I still can’t make it work.
It is just a WordPress post.
I hope we can resolve this together.
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Best,
Ivan Roca

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please follow the steps mentioned in the guide below? This should help you to figure out and resolve the issue.
https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/Note: after applying the fix, please try re-submitting your sitemap to GSC to see if that’s working.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
I did all that before I even opened a support ticket.
This didn’t gave me any results.
Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out.
I have checked your sitemap and everything seems to be fine. Please try the following steps:
- Go to Google Search Console and remove your sitemap from the Sitemaps section.
- Make sure you are using the correct sitemap URL, which is https://www.biotherapy.asia/sitemap_index.xml. Do not use https://www.biotherapy.asia/post-sitemap.xml, as this is only a part of your sitemap index.
- Add your sitemap URL back to Google Search Console and submit it.
This should help Google to fetch your sitemap correctly and index your pages.
Please let us know if this works for you or if you need any more assistance, happy to troubleshoot this further with you.
Hi,
I did that, and the result was the same.Google search can locate all the sitemaps except the post sitemap.
Hello,
We already checked from our end and we can’t seem to find any issues with the post sitemap.
Please refer to the screenshots below:
Can you please remove all the sitemaps you have in Google Search Console and submit only these sitemaps?

Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings to investigate this. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Please bear in mind that this website is live. Thank you!
Any idea what is happening? It is awkward because all other sitemaps work perfectly well.
Hello,
Can you please try setting up a new property and ensure that you are using the URL property in the Google Search Console? You may refer to the step from the guide to address that: https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#num-3-2-add-the-correct-site-url-to-google-search-console
Our plugin works well with URL prefix property (not so well for Domain Properties) so after following that step, please try submitting the sitemap again.
We really look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you.
It is the same
https://imgur.com/a/6qrpoc2I have different property types setup already. I tried that before.
Honestly, I don’t understand. I spoke with Siteground, and they checked everything and told me that it is all fine on their side, which probably is as other sitemaps work perfectly well.
They asked me to go through these steps https://betterstudio.com/blog/search-console-fails-to-fetch-sitemap/?utm_content=cmp-true
I think we already did except the step to manually create the sitemap.
Hello,
I ran the mobile test of few posts URLs and Google can fetch the URL without any issue. Please refer to the sensitive data for the screenshot.
As suggest by my colleague above, everything looks fine with the sitemap. You can try using the URL Inspection on the post sitemap url. it should say not indexed (its a sitemap not a page, so shouldn’t be indexed!), but can use the Live Test, to check if Googlebot CAN fetch it! As its a sitemap, not a page, please don’t use the ‘Request Indexing’ button!
If Google can fetch it, it’s most likely just pending, in which case we just have to wait.
Let us know how it goes.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Yes, post-sitemap can be fetched.
Please check Sensitive Data for the Screenshot.
Regarding the suggestion to simply wait for the Google Search Console to “react” in time, I already did that test almost a month ago.
