Google Rich Results Test not detecting Service Schema

We use two different Rank Math schemas on our website, service & article.

Google’s Rich results test tool is only detecting the schema on pages with the article schema set.

https://validator.schema.org/ detects the schema on all pages, both article and service pages and says they’re valid.

Do you know why Google isn’t recognising the service schema in the rich results tester?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with Google not detecting the Service Schema in the Rich Results Test. It’s great to hear that the schema is being detected as valid by the Schema.org validator.

There are a few reasons why Google might not recognize the Service Schema:

    1. Google’s Guidelines: Google has specific guidelines for which types of schema they support for rich results. Not all schema types will result in rich snippets being displayed in search results, even if they are valid. You can check Google’s structured data guidelines for more information on this.

    2. Crawling and Indexing: Ensure that the pages with the Service Schema are crawled and indexed by Google. You can verify this using Google Search Console.

    3. Quality Issues: Sometimes, quality-related issues on your site can affect whether rich snippets are displayed. Factors such as poorly written content, low-quality inbound links, or slow loading times can impact this.

    4. Testing Tool Limitations: The Rich Results Test tool may have limitations in recognizing certain schema types compared to other validators. It’s possible that while the schema is valid, it may not be eligible for rich results according to Google’s criteria.

If you have further questions or need assistance with configuring your schemas, please feel free to reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

The Service Schema is not eligible for Rich Results so it’s expected that it wouldn’t appear in the Rich Results Test.

If you want to test the detection of the entire Schema markup, you should continue to use this validator instead: https://validator.schema.org

    Looking forward to helping you.
