Google Indexing Issue Some of My Page

    Dear support team,

    My website is new (about 2 months). Google starts indexing some of my pages and posts without any problem. But for some important pages such as our service page, Google doesn’t index them even though I request for index on GSC. I’ve tried url inspect but there’s no error or alerts for the pages. Only the result: Discovered-But Currently Not Indexed.

    I’ve rechecked the possible cause of not indexing:
    1. Sitemaps are checked, and there’s no block or noindex settings for these pages.
    2. My websites are mobile-friendly and have no readability issue on different devices;
    3. I also set them as Pillar pages to tell Google they are important pages;
    4. I also set the canonical url for some of these pages.
    5. I’ve also keep our content unique so there’s no low quality content in my site;
    6. We also run Google Ads campaigns for these unindexed yet pages, there’s no errors or alerts, too;
    7. The weirdest thing is: I submit sitemap to bing as well, and these pages can be indexed by bing without any issue.

    The time I heard of your RankMath plugin, I was excited thinking this headache can be soon resolved. But after trying, the issue remains the same. The not indexed links are stilled there.

    Please advise what I can do to get this solved. Thanks
    Jasmine

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    The Discovered – currently not indexed status means that Google knows about these URLs, but they haven’t crawled (and therefore indexed) them yet.

    Here is what Google says about this status:

    Discovered – currently not indexed: The page was found by Google, but not crawled yet. Typically, Google tried to crawl the URL but the site was overloaded; therefore Google had to reschedule the crawl. This is why the last crawl date is empty on the report.

    You need to wait for Google to crawl and index those URLs.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Anas,

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

    It is weird because I see some websites with thousands of webpages that have no issue of indexing. But we have only less than 100 webpages. Why is it overloaded and what takes it show long?

    I also read some articles saying that Google Discovered – Currently not indexed status can last forever.

    Is there anyway to let Google index my pages faster?

    Also, how can I know if I’ve set up Google Instant Index API correctly? Could you please check it for my site?

    Hello,

    Since Google has already discovered the URLs, you can just wait for them to decide to crawl and index the URLs. There is nothing you can do to force them to index them.

    And please follow this guide to set up Instant Indexing for Google on your site: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/

    Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Thanks for the reply.
    I’ve rechecked the status after setting up Google Instant Index API:

    The webpage I would like to index is still not listed under “submitted and indexed” in Google Search Console Coverage but still under “discovered -not indexed”.
    When I conduct a URL inspection for the webpage, it says URL is on Google. When I site my website on Google, the webpage I want to index is shown.

    So which one is correct? Is my webpage indexed or not?

    Hello,

    If the page is visible in Google Search, that means it is already indexed. It can take some time for the status to update in your GSC account. Since the page is listed in the SERPs, there is nothing to be worried about.

    Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Thanks.

    OK, thank you very much for your assistance, Anas and Jaideep
