Hello Rank Math team,
we are managing https://mita.si, a WooCommerce store using Rank Math.
We have an indexing inconsistency in Google Images:
When searching for product-related keywords like
“mita milka alpine milk” or “mita milka lesnikov namaz”Google displays correct product images, but all of them share the same title — the title of the main product (for example “Milka 190G Alpine Milk”), even though the images belong to other related products displayed in sliders.
What we verified
1. Each product page includes only one @type: Product JSON-LD block, generated by Rank Math.
→ Confirmed via Rich Results Test.
2. mainEntityOfPage appears only once, and all structured data validates correctly.
3. Related products are shown in sliders (content-product-slider.php) using the WooCommerce loop, so theirtags exist physically in the same DOM under <main>.
4. No duplicated or custom product schema is present. What happens
Google indexes slider images as part of the page content and associates them with the main Product schema (same canonical URL).
As a result, in Google Images, multiple Milka variants share the same product title. We believe this happens because:
– Rank Math’s Product schema is the only semantic entity on the page,
– Google assigns all visibleinside <main> to that Product entity.
Question
Could you please confirm whether Rank Math has any internal mechanism to:
– excludeelements from related products sections from being semantically connected to the main Product entity, or
– define a stricter image context (e.g., limiting image property to WooCommerce’s main gallery images only)? We want to ensure Google Images associates only the main product images with the Product entity and not those from “related” or “similar brand” sliders.
Thanks in advance for your guidance.
Best regards,
Rok
