  • Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing with the 404 error when checking the URL status in Google. It seems that the page you are trying to access may not exist or is not configured correctly on your server.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check Your Web Server Settings: Ensure that your web server is configured to return a 404 error for missing pages. If it’s returning a 200 status code instead, Google may index the page even though it doesn’t exist. You may need to contact your web hosting provider to verify this.

    2. Verify URL: Double-check the URL you are trying to publish or update. Make sure there are no typos or errors in the URL.

    3. Use Google Search Console: In Google Search Console, you can check the Coverage report to see if there are any issues with the URL. This can provide more insight into why it’s showing a 404 error.

    4. Check for Redirects: If the page has been moved, ensure that a proper 301 redirect is set up from the old URL to the new one.

If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Please make sure you’re using the latest version of the Instant Indexing plugin on your website: https://wordpress.org/plugins/fast-indexing-api/#developers

However, since you’re getting the error while trying to Get Status, please try to submit the URL in Publish/Update URL first as Google isn’t aware of the URL. Once done, please check the URL again with Get URL Status.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
