Google doesn’t show the site name after the page/article/product name like this: %title% %sep% %sitename%. I also followed the guide https://rankmath.com/kb/display-site-name-in-search-results/ but the search results do not show the site title after the page name. By checking the source of the page, the title is displayed correctly as it is if I analyze the page from the search console. Can you tell me what could cause this problem? Is there a solution to apply? A thousand thanks!

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with Google not displaying your site name after the page title in search results. This can happen for several reasons, and we appreciate you following the guide on how to display the site name correctly.

Here are a few potential causes and solutions:

    1. Google’s Discretion: Sometimes, Google may choose to display the URL instead of the site name based on its algorithms. This can happen if it determines that the URL is more relevant or if there are inconsistencies in how your site name is presented across different areas of your website.

    2. Site Name Configuration: Ensure that your site name is consistently set in all the required locations:

      • Homepage Title Tag: Make sure your site name is included in the title tag of your homepage. You can check this in your WordPress Dashboard under Settings → General.
      • H1 Header Tag: If you have a static homepage, ensure that your site name is also included in the H1 header tag of that page.
      • Open Graph Metadata: Rank Math automatically adds Open Graph metadata, but you can verify it by checking the source code of your homepage to ensure it includes the correct site name.
      • Structured Data: Ensure that the WebSite structured data is correctly configured in Rank Math. You can enable this by going to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Local SEO and filling in the necessary fields.
    3. Reindexing: After making any changes, it may take some time for Google to reflect these updates in search results. You can expedite this process by requesting Google to reindex your homepage through the Google Search Console. Enter your homepage URL and click on Request Indexing.

    4. Patience: Sometimes, it simply takes time for Google to update its index and reflect changes in search results. It may take a few weeks for the changes to be visible.

If you’ve checked all these areas and the issue persists, we recommend replying to this ticket so a human agent from our support team can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to help you resolve it soon!

    Hello,

If the sitename is already set in the page’s source code, please note that Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and shows something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

    Looking forward to helping you.
