    Hello Team,

This is to inform you that we are facing a Google console issue, our home page has not getting indexed since long. Homepage is showing in “Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user” and “Page with redirect” , and also in “Redirect error”. We have also checked the RankMath redirection option with no such redirects found there. Please check and let us know the issue.

We have not assigned our homepage to any other page. But still 2 pages are still showing. Please check the attached screenshot. We have also started the validation process but are still facing the same issue.

Please check and do the needful.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your Google Search Console. It seems like there are multiple indexing issues with your homepage, specifically the "Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user" and "Page with redirect" errors.

To address the "Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user" error, please follow these steps:

    1. Identify the Affected Pages: Click on the error in Google Search Console to see which pages are affected.
Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user error
    2. Check Canonical Tags: Ensure that the canonical URL specified is correct and accessible. It should point to the best version of your content.
    3. Implement 301 Redirects: If there are duplicate pages, consider implementing 301 redirects from those pages to the preferred canonical URL. You can do this in Rank Math by navigating to Rank Math > Redirections in your WordPress admin dashboard.
      Rank Math Redirections Tab
    4. Validation Process: After making these changes, continue with the validation process in Google Search Console to see if the issues resolve.

For the "Page with redirect" and "Redirect error" issues, ensure that there are no conflicting redirects set up elsewhere on your site or in your server settings. Since you mentioned that no redirects were found in Rank Math, it might be worth checking your .htaccess file or any other redirection plugins you may have installed.

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention, and we hope to help you resolve it soon!

Please indicate, waiting for a long time for your response.

    Thank you.

Why are you not responding of my query. I have message you since 5 days before, but still no response is greeting from your side. I again request you please look into this matter and do the needful.

    Hello,

Apologies for the delay, as this ticket seems to have been stuck in our drafts section for some reason.

However, your website’s canonical URL is already self-referencing.

This status message means that Google has found content on your site that is identical or very similar to that which is from vpndealz.net.

However, that site is showing a coming soon page, so we’re unable to verify that.

Regarding the redirect, you are inspecting the WWW version of your site, but your final version is HTTPS non-WWW. Also, your /index.php is redirected to your homepage URL, which is the correct behavior.

In your Google Search Console, you should use the URL inspection tool of your GSC account to inspect those URLs and check the referring page where they are coming from.

Once you know their referring page, you can remove or update them so Google won’t discover those URLs.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Please check the shared image, you see the Referring page and Google-selected canonical, these 2 are not our domain properties. So how can I remove these URLs from our properties of Google Search Console?

    Hello,

Please clear your website caches and allow Google to recrawl your homepage. You can also submit the homepage to GSC’s URL Inspection Tool and initiate a request for indexing.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

Already done. But the issue not resolved for a long time.

    Hello,

I have done everything as you said, but still facing the same issue, and other domain URLs are not being removed, the homepage is not getting indexed.

I have shared some images. Please have a look. I request you please look into this matter.

    Thankyou.

    Hello,

    1. Google thinks that your site’s content is not original and that’s why they are choosing a different site as the canonical. You will have to modify your site’s content to get the site indexed in the SERPs. The issue is not related to your site’s SEO or an SEO plugin; it is directly related to the content. If you’re copying the content from other sites, you should stop that and start publishing original content.

    2. The redirect error is for the WWW version of the homepage URL. Since your site’s preferred version is non-WWW, the WWW version should redirect to it. This isn’t an error and you should only submit the non-WWW version to your GSC account.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,
