Hello,
I’m sorry to hear about the issues you are facing with Google bot consistently reporting faults on your website. It seems like you have already made some changes and switched to Rank Math SEO, which has improved things but the redirects are still causing problems.
To address the redirect issues reported by Google, you can follow these steps:
-
Check for any incorrect redirections on your website. You can refer to this guide on how to fix redirections to the incorrect version of your website: Fix Redirections to Incorrect Version of Your Website.
-
If you are experiencing redirects that you have not configured yourself, you can use this guide to identify the root cause of the issue and fix these unwanted URLs redirecting: Fix Unwanted URLs Redirecting.
-
If you have removed AMP support from your website and need to redirect AMP URLs to regular URLs, you can follow this guide: Redirect AMP URLs to Regular URLs.
By following these steps, you should be able to address the redirect issues causing faults reported by Google bot. If you need further assistance or have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Closing spiel.

how do you find a redirect that you cannot see/find
????????
Hello,
1) In this case, you can create a redirection on your website to a similar page or your homepage. Here’s how you can create a redirection using Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-create-a-redirection/
2) The report from Google is correct since you deliberately blocked those URLs from being indexed by Google.
3) On Google Search Console, click on the “Page with Redirect” error status and share the list of all the pages on your website that are returning this error.
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
Point 1 I cannot see or find the redirect..it’s my main page point 2 is a given its correct point 3 I cannot find the redirect …in otherworldly there is no redirect ant to tell it to redirect my main page is to cause a loop which will keep on redirecting a redirect that doesn’t exist
Hello,
Your website is redirecting the variations of the homepage to the correct one with HTTPS and
wwwso any other variation will show as a redirection. If you notice the URL of the homepage that is reporting a redirect you’ll likely notice that it’s either missing HTTPS or
wwwfrom it, or maybe even both.Another possibility is if the homepage URL is without a trailing slash which can trigger a redirection to the canonical with a trailing slash.
The bottom line is that the actual live homepage URL is without any redirection and accessible to Googlebot so the ones you see are variations of that.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
how do i overcoming the ‘miss reporting’ of different variations if the report is http://www.starsecurityspikes.co.za
Hello,
Can you clarify what ‘miss reporting’ you’re referring to here? The only redirect on http://www.starsecurityspikes.co.za/ is a redirect to https://www.starsecurityspikes.co.za/ – i.e. the redirect is from the HTTP protocol to HTTPS protocol.
This is fine and harmless and in fact, every important website has a protocol redirect from HTTP to HTTPS.
We hope this helps clarify the issue. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
I must admit this is so confusing..i have spent months in time and effort to follow all of googles requests and fault findings and seem to not win at all..it seems that because of google having 96% of the search market place that it appears that I have lost trade because of this..we went 6 weeks with no business coming in at all
Hello,
We understand how frustrating it can be to deal with persistent issues, especially after dedicating so much time and effort to follow Google’s guidelines.
The main redirect from
http://www.starsecurityspikes.co.zatohttps://www.starsecurityspikes.co.zais a standard practice to ensure all traffic uses the secure HTTPS protocol. This is not an issue and is, in fact, recommended for security reasons. Also, for the Google Search Console (GSC) to mention such a URL it means it is seeing it from somewhere. Please use the GSC URL inspection tool to find the referring page and remove/correct it from there.
In Google Search Console, under the “Coverage” section, you can see the details of the errors reported by Google. By clicking on the specific error, you can see which pages are affected and the reasons for the errors. Addressing these specific issues will help improve your site’s performance.
If your traffic has significantly dropped, it might not be solely due to redirects. Other factors such as content quality, keyword optimization, and overall website performance play crucial roles. It might be beneficial to perform a comprehensive SEO audit to identify any other potential issues.
Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
