Google Analytics not working – not fetching data

    Hi Rank Math team,

    My Google Data is not showing. I followed the instructions, disconnected RM from GA, and reconnected, but the plugin is still not showing data. So, the instructions told me to send a ticket. See below and please advise. Thank you! -Susan

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.

    To solve this issue, you need to fetch fresh data from Google. This is a simple process that you can do by following the steps below:

    1. Head over to WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Tools & Status > Database Tools and click the Rebuild Index button. This is the first process before you will update the data manually unlike what was suggested by the bot.

    2. After that, head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics tab, click the Delete Data button and then click the Update Data Manually

    3. This will start the new data fetch from Google. You can reload the page to see the notice related to the import process.

    4. Once the process is complete. Please re-check the Analytics page and all the data should be showing up correctly.

    Following the above steps should fix the issue.

    However, if it does not, please check if there is a pending Scheduled Action by heading over to WordPress dashboard > Tools > Scheduled Actions > Pending or you can try visiting the following URL:

    https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=action-scheduler&status=pending

    Then Run the rank_math/analytics/data_fetch scheduled action and wait for the data fetch to complete.

    This is how it should look like:

    Once done, please allow Rank Math a while to fetch data from Google and you should be able to see the updated data.

    You might see other actions that are scheduled to RUN as well, it is quite normal and you don’t have to worry.

    Thank you so much for moving the sensitive data.

    Now, I’m a little confused. I did not see Adetayo’s response. Should I go through his instructions and rebuild my data? In the other ticket, the first man who helped me said that I wouldn’t receive data unless I opted for the paid version, but I just checked my dashboard, and it is retrieving the basic analytics data today. Please advise and let me know if I need to follow Adetayo’s instructions or disregard them because it seems to be working fine today.

    Hello,

    This would depend on what isn’t working on your site. If you share a screenshot of the issue, we should be able to point you in the right direction.

    To clarify, Rank Math FREE only retrieves data from the Google Search Console. While you can certainly connect to Google Analytics and install its code on your site, the Google Analytics data will not be integrated into the Rank Math > Analytics data. So if your issue is specifically about Google Analytics data, then you can ignore the steps my colleague shared until you have upgraded to Rank Math PRO.

    Hello,

    Yes, those stats are meant for the free version and it appears to be working as intended.

    If you believe the data shown on the analytics page is very far from the numbers showing from your GSC, then you can proceed with the rebuild index, otherwise, you can go about your day.
