Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
Yes, the ticket was already closed so we can continue on this one.
Upon reviewing your previous ticket, you mentioned that the warning/message to set up GA4 is from your previous/old property.
If you switch to your created GA4 property, then you should not see this notification to switch to GA4
Apparently, that notification is shown for the Universal properties even if you have already created the GA4.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
I know it still shows in my old GA account but I’m seeing that warning in my new GA4 account as well. That’s not normal is it?
Hello,
Yes, the notice should be removed upon viewing your GA4 property.
Could you please confirm if you have already set up the GA4 property in your Analytics? You can follow this guide for that:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10110290
Please also share some screenshots of where you are seeing the notice. You can use this tool and add the generated link here.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.
I used your plugin for the setup Reinelle, I was told it would do everything automatically. I used that because I have tried following Google’s own guide over and over and just found it too complicated to follow. Is your plugin not supposed to complete the setup automatically?
Hello,
Rank Math will indeed help you connect to GA4 or create a new property, however, it will not change the notifications inside of your Google Analytics account, those notifications will remain until the date that Google decides to remove them.
If you want to verify that your site has GA4 installed you can visit this URL: https://tagassistant.google.com/
You can also share some screenshots of the issue using a tool like https://imgur.com/ so we can check and assist you further.
Looking forward to helping you.
Using that link it would appear the site is tagged although there was the option to install the app to do a deeper analysis of the tags on the site which I didn’t do. I have attached a screenshot of what I am seeing in GA when I am logged in to my new GA4 account https://imgur.com/a/YMZv9Yf
I just received this email https://imgur.com/gQwLBmc
Kind regards
Andrew
I am also trying to add GA4, but still showing me that “Open Setup Assistant” on my site pintdd.
OK, so this is something you are already investigating?
Kind regards
Andrew
Hello,
The code is installed and tracking is working fine. The message is about setting up the GA4 property as you may not have enabled some options. You can click on the Complete Setup and it will show you a list of the tasks you need to do to complete the setup. You can check the options there and enable the ones you want to use or ignore the message if you don’t want to set it up further.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
Thanks
I just wnet through that and selected options, a little bit unconfident whether I selected the best options but I did that however, the complete setup still shows is that because it takes time for the options selected to update and then it will show as complete?
Hello,
The notification will still show, but you can click the Dismiss button after completing the steps setting up the GA4 on your site
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
You should be able to see from the screenshot I sent you there was no option to dismiss showing and there isnt now when I open it up either. Why am I not seeing that dismiss option?
Hello,
It may be that there are some important settings that you have missed, which is why Google is still showing that alert. Can you please click on the “Complete setup” again and make sure all the required options are provided? You may also click on the “Learn more” to take you to Google’s documentation to further guide you.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thanks Jeremy. I spent ages trying to get through this before coming to you and just could not get rid of that notice whatever I did. I will go through again but I don’t see how I could have missed anything and I was trying to avoid self help guides but I will give it another shot.
