Getting More "noindex" errors almost daily

    Hi there,
I seem to be getting more “noindex” errors almost daily and Google claims to be able to index or verify the URLs in question. Not sure what else to do. I have gone through your support knowledge base but can’t find what is happening or why. Posts and pages that are showing errors haven’t got the noindex check box checked so I am at a loss.

    Many thanks Greg Herbert

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the information.

We see the noindex tag being added to your posts towards the bottom of your page’s source code. This is not added by Rank Math.

Only the code between these two comments is added by Rank Math:

That is a screenshot from your website. Here’s the noindex code near the bottom:
    noindex
(only appears when you are not logged in as an admin)

I think there is some grave issue on your website. The layout is all broken if the user is not logged in.

Please follow this tutorial to determine the cause of these problems:

Thank you for your query and welcome to the group.

Thanks I will dig a little deeper.

    Hi there,
I am pretty sure to have solved the problem, turns out 2 Plugins were causing issues. Jetpack and Outbrain were the culprits. I have started new validation with Google Search Console so will have to wait for re indexing.

    Many thanks.

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I am glad that you were able to identify the culprit.

Feel free to write to us should any other issues come up.
