ga4 activation

#394193
  • Hello!

I can’t seem to activate Analytics with the new GA4.

In the Analytics section of RankMaths settings: The account is correct, the new GA4 property is there in the list and the stream is set to Website. I drag the slider to ‘install analytics code’. Finally I click Save Changes but after half a second it all looks like before again. And no error messages.

The one anomaly I notice is that the Country selection never appears.

RankMath has all the 6 different permissions for GA that it asks for (are they all required?)

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Could you please confirm if you are using Firefox or Safari to save the Analytics settings?

If yes, can you please try saving the settings in Google Chrome? You can also try in an incognito window of Chrome.

Please let us know how that goes.

    Thank you.

Using Chrome 101 on fully updated W10. Dont use Firefox or Safari if I can avoid them.

Also tried with all Chrome extensions disabled.

    Hello,

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
