GA4 account problem

I ran the wizard but can’t connect to Google Services. The problem is likely because I have a GA4 account and the website is one of my properties. I am the verified owner but it is not functional yet because I have not added the Global Site Tag (gtag.js) to the head html. The data on the google analytics page is a bit difficult to comprehend for me and I am hoping that the data displayed in Rank Math is a bit easier to read. What is the best and easiest way to get Search Console working in Rank Math?
I am considering (1) deleting the property in my GA4 account (2) creating a new account and adding the website as a Universal property (3) editing the property in my account so that I can toggle between Universal and GA4. p.s. I note that <meta name=”google-site-verification”> appears twice in the html head of my site. I used a plugin to insert it but I guess Rank Math had already done it. I could edit the html to remove one or both. What should I do?
