Forcus Keywords not imported from Yoast

    I just added Rank Math plugin and completed the setup wizard. I imported my Yoast SEO info – all boxes were checked. Upon review of all my pages/posts, I see that there are no focus keywords and I possibly metadata missing.

    I’ve deleted Yoast plugins, so I may have restore a backup point through WPEngine to start the process all over. I’ll wait to do that until after you check the situation out. I’ve added admin access login info the sensitive data section.

    The only keyword I see is one that I added after switching to Rank Math – GAINSWave.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the follow up.

    All the focus keywords assigned to posts seem to have imported successfully but it does not seem like you had any keywords set on your pages.

    I have performed a test by activating Yoast but no keywords are found on your pages as shown below:

    Is it possible that you clicked on the option to clean your database after the import?

    I didn’t select any option in Rank Math to clean the database. If that is something that is standardly done and I would’ve had to unclick that option, I didn’t do that. Cleared cache with WP Rocket after the import.

    If the focus keywords were successfully imported, clearing the database shouldn’t remove those, right?

    What’s the answer now? Do I need to restore a backup and try again?

    Rolling back would be a great call. Please do this and then perform the import when all other plugins are disabled so that all the data can be imported without any conflicts.
