    I recently installed Rank Math and have been on the computer for hours now trying to get all the settings to perfection with the support of YouTube from your current users. It has been great, moving along smoothly until I got to the section “titles and Meta”. After making some changes, when I click on save changes, I get an error message

    “Forbidden
    You do not have permission to access this document.

    Web Server at shorttermpropertymanager.co.nz”

    Now I’ve spent over an hour trying to troubleshoot this, from deactivating the plugin, to see if I need to whitelist anything, I mean this is driving me nuts, as everything I’m trying to do isn’t saving my settings, and I can’t move forward with it.

    any chance i can get support here so i can use your plug in with the settings i want to save

    Make sure you are logged in with an admin account, as only admin accounts have the necessary permissions to access certain settings in Rank Math.

    3. ModSecurity Issues

    Sometimes, the ModSecurity feature on your hosting server can block requests from plugins like Rank Math. You may need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to temporarily disable ModSecurity to see if that resolves the issue.

    4. Firewall Settings

    If you have a firewall enabled, it might be blocking access to certain files required by Rank Math. Check if Rank Math is being blocked and whitelist it if necessary. You can refer to the following files that might need whitelisting:

    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSchemas
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateRedirection

    doubled checked that word press and site URL are the same. Im the admin to make any changes. i believe I’m the author as there is only one log in credentials. my web developer gave me the log in credentials, ive been able to do many changes myself but when it came to “titles and meta” its not allowing me to save any changes for some odd reason

    Would love some support to get rank math up and running, you guys blow your competitors out of the park, and I would hate to use something else because I can’t get it working. For some reason it’s saying I don’t have permission to save the setting. I’ve spent 10 hours on the computer trying to navigate through this. Need guidance please

    It seems that the user access you have does not have the option to update the Rank Math settings.

    If you’re using only the author user on your WordPress, you may need to configure the Role Manager settings to administrator access:

    I appreciate your response. Going through the first link/article you sent

    1st, WordPress setting for URLs does match and yes it does have http:// and not www.

    2nd, just checked if I am the administration account and I am

    3rd, checked roll manager and toggled everything to everyone just in case, I noticed in the administrator section, the only one that is not highlighted or able to toggle on/off is the role manager. It’s ticked as default and not able to change it.

    4th- I don’t have multi website, only have 1

    5th- tried uninstalling and installing it again, I didn’t need to back anything up as the settings were only about 20% done until I came to this issue. After installing it again, it didn’t lose my data, it still had some of the settings I had set before uninstalling it.

    Just checked your 2nd link you sent

    Role manager in the rank math dashboard is toggled on, and scheme structure data is toggled on as well.

    Role manager settings I have toggled everyone on to have the same settings and I still don’t have permission to make any changes in the “title & Meta setting.

    made sure to save all changes, i logged out and back in and tried to go into the tittle & Meta setting again and after trying to save something I’m still getting the forbidden message saying i don’t have permission for this.

    When I was going through all the settings step by step, I think it all stopped working after I put in the Google Carousel API keys and the BING API keys, after that, every setting for me stopped working in the title & Meta setting.
