Basic MS firewall is applicable and always has been so nothing has changed How come now ? If i remove the fire wall it still does not save This indicates its not a firewall issue

You can create a copy of your current .htacess file for backup before switching to default .htacess.
If that doesn’t help, please share your WordPress admin login and FTP login as instructed by my colleague.
Which default ? There are quite a few catagories ?
Ive replaced with the multi site catagory and tested The same issue remains
