Hello,
We apologize for the issues you are facing with Rank Math. Thank you for raising your concern regarding focus keywords.
Here’s a brief explanation of how focus keywords work in Rank Math:
-
Focus Keywords: These are the keywords you want your post to rank for. You can add multiple focus keywords, but the first one you add becomes the primary focus keyword, which is denoted by a star icon next to it.

-
Color Indicators: The colors (red, green) indicate the optimization status of your content based on the focus keywords. Green typically means your content is well-optimized for the selected keywords, while red indicates areas that need improvement.
-
Ordering Focus Keywords: If you are a Rank Math PRO user, you can reorder your focus keywords by dragging and dropping them into your desired position. This allows you to change which keyword is considered primary without removing and re-adding them.

However, if you are using the free version, you will need to remove and re-add the keywords to change their order.

-
Multiple Focus Keywords: Rank Math allows you to add multiple focus keywords, but it’s essential to choose them wisely. The primary focus keyword should be the most important one that you want to rank for, while others can be secondary.

Hello,
This, what was sent to me, is completely vague:
2. Color Indicators: The colors (red, green) indicate the optimization status of your content based on the focus keywords. Green typically means your content is well-optimized for the selected keywords, while red indicates areas that need improvement.
Optimization Status? How do I resolve it? Well-Optimized in what regard? What are the Variables? Red & Green, is it all or none, 0% or 100%?
Thanks,
River
