Focus Keyword/SEO Score Not Displaying in Posts/Pages List View (Stuck at 0)

    Hello Rank Math Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue where the SEO Score and Focus Keyword are not correctly displayed in the WordPress posts/pages list view, even after saving the content.

    1. The Issue:

When editing a post/page, Rank Math shows the correct SEO Score (e.g., 82/100) and the Focus Keyword is set and saved.

However, in the main Posts/Pages List View, the SEO Score remains 0 (or N/A) and the Focus Keyword is often missing or shows “Not Set.”

    2. Steps Taken So Far (What I have tried):

I have ensured the page is properly “Updated” (saved) in the editor.

I have used the “Recalculate Scores” tool in Rank Math’s Status & Tools.

I have tried setting the Focus Keyword in the bulk edit screen, but it does not save.

I have cleared all site and server-side caching.

    3. Request: Could you please advise on how to resolve this database synchronization issue? I suspect there might be a problem with how Rank Math writes the analysis data to the database columns used for the list view.

    Thank you for your help.

    Best regards, Mikko

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the SEO Score and Focus Keyword not displaying correctly in the WordPress posts/pages list view. Thank you for providing detailed information about the steps you’ve taken so far.

It seems like you have already tried several troubleshooting steps, including using the "Recalculate Scores" tool, which is a good approach. However, if the issue persists, it may be related to how Rank Math interacts with your database.

Here are a few additional steps you can try:

    1. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can interfere with Rank Math’s functionality. Try deactivating other plugins temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.
    2. Database Optimization: Consider optimizing your database using a plugin like WP-Optimize or similar to ensure there are no underlying issues affecting performance.
    3. Check User Permissions: Ensure that your user role has the necessary permissions to view and edit SEO settings.
    4. Update Rank Math: Make sure you are using the latest version of Rank Math, as updates often include bug fixes and improvements.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can take a closer look at your specific setup and assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve it!

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We apologize for the inconvenience that might have been caused due to that. This was a visual bug in the latest version of the Rank Math plugin.

However, we’ve released beta versions where the SEO score issue has been fixed. https://rankmath.com/changelog/beta/

If you want, you can enable the Beta update by following this guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/version-control/#beta-updates

If you are unable to see an update, please clear Rank Math’s transients from WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Remove Rank Math Transients: https://rankmath.com/kb/rank-math-status-and-tools/#rank-math-transients

Please clear the caches, server, and WordPress after updating.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
