    Hello

For a while now I’ve been getting the error “Focus Keyword SEO doesn’t appear at the top of the title” in blog posts. I just have to type in the focus keyword to validate this segment. When I add something else to the sentence, it gives an error again. Can you check this out?

    Thank you

  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch and I am extremely sorry about the trouble this might have caused.

You seem to have your seo title defined as %sitename% %sep% %title% in which case the title is pushed to the end and so does the keyword in the title. If you switch to %title% %sep% %sitename% you will note the keyword is recognized successfully as it comes close to the beginning of the seo title. Here is a guide on this: https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/#focus-keyword-at-the-beginning-of-the-seo-title-only-for-primary-keyword

If you do not wish to change the structure of your optimized title, you can ignore this check since the tests are only there for your reference and not mandatory to score everything.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello Michael,

Yes, all titles are standard and I want to change that. This problem did not exist before. Will it be fixed?

    Thank you

    Hello,

When did the issue start happening? Was there any plugin or them upgraded?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello Michael,

I can’t tell you exactly that. I publish content regularly every 3 days. I think I noticed it 15-20 days ago. Look at the old posts and you’ll see that they got full marks from this rating

    Thank you,

    Hello,

Rank math checks for your primary focus keyword in the first 50% of the title in this test. To pass this test you will need to re-write the title in a way that you incorporate the primary focus keyword in the beginning, instead of the end as it is in your current case.

Hope this helps you. Thank you.

    Hello Michael,

This is a bug and won’t it be fixed in the future?

    Thank you

    Hello,

I am sorry but I don’t fully understand, why would it be a bug? Since if it is not in the first 50% of the title, it is not at the beginning of the title. Could you give us more details about why do you think it is a bug?

    Looking forward to help you.

    Hello Alberto,

I didn’t know if the keyword should be in the top 50% of the title for SEO. I thought it was enough to have it in the title. I will arrange my titles accordingly.

    Thank you
