The test you underlined is the Focus Keyword doesn't appear in the content please make sure that you have added your Focus Keyword in parts of your content to pass the Basic SEO test. Here’s a sample screencast for your reference:

You need to integrate Custom fields in this case your WP Excerpt field with the Rank Math SEO plugin.
To do so, go to https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/ and follow the steps in this Knowledgebase Tutorial.

I’m sorry but this somehow inconsistent. First of all Excerpt is a standard WordPress field, not a custom one. Secondly, RankMath is able to count the words in the field so why is it not able to find the focus keyword?

Our tests don’t run with the excerpt in mind and even the word count doesn’t reflect the words you have in the excerpt.
The tests only run on the actual post content inside the editor.

Hello Miguel, you’re right, sorry for that. Do you have a more detailed instruction on how to have excerpt field tested by Rank Math? I’m not able to follow the one Princess provided. If there’s nothing else I’ll get a developer to do this for me.

In the article we shared previously we have an example of how we use the API to get the custom fields from WordPress.

That example along with the instructions should be enough for a developer to look into the situation and add the code necessary to fetch the excerpt into the post-tests.
Unfortunately, that falls outside the scope of Rank Math support and you’ll need to hire a developer to create that custom code.
