First image from post isn’t picking up for featured image

    Hello everyone. I have some posts / pages that I didn’t set a custom featured image from media library. And I want them to have a featured image (which I want them to be the first image from content).

    I’ve removed default og:image from Rank Math’s options, but for some reason, these posts / pages don’t get the first image as featured image.

    I’ve checked the Rank Math options, as far as I remember there was an option like “set the first image in content as the featured image” but can’t find it.

    Did you removed this feature? Or something is wrong with my setup?

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    I created a test post on your site and inserted an image in it. I didn’t set any featured image and the og image was generated from the image I inserted into the post. Please check the screencast I have attached in the sensitive data section.

    And the post you shared, I wasn’t able to find in the posts lists. Can you please confirm if it’s a custom post type or created using a template?

    Maybe this problem related to page type posts? Because you can check out the my example (which is a “page” not post) on the sensitive data section. I’ve added an image to top of the page, but that image isn’t using as featured image on og:image tags.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the follow-up, and sorry for the delay.

    I’ve checked the URL you have provided, and it seems that the image is not getting added to your og:image (open graph) because of its file type (.webp). Please make sure that the images you are using are only jpeg, gif, or png as per Opengraph Standards.

    Please also ensure that your images are using the recommended image size. Recommended image size is 1200 x 630 pixels.

    Ahh, I didn’t know that og:image only supports jpg, png and gif. Thank you so much for pointing out this detail.
