I’ve successfully connected my website to Google Search Console using the URL property method. However, the favicon is not appearing in Google Search Console, and it also doesn’t show when I search for my website on Google. Additionally, some changes I made in Rank Math SEO are not reflecting on google search.

It has been over a week since I connected my website to Google Search Console, but no changes have occurred yet.

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with your favicon not showing in Google Search Console and on Google search results. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Set Your Favicon: Ensure that you have set your website’s favicon correctly. You can do this by navigating to WordPress Dashboard → Appearance → Customize → Site Identity. If you’re having trouble with this, it may be best to consult your theme provider as it relates to your theme settings.

    2. Clear Cache: Sometimes, caching can prevent changes from appearing. Make sure to clear your site, plugin, or any server-level cache. You can follow the guidelines on clearing cache in WordPress.

    3. Google’s Favicon Crawler: Keep in mind that Google’s favicon crawler may take some time to update your favicon in search results. You can refer to Google’s guidelines for more information on how this works.

    4. Check Rich Snippets: If changes made in Rank Math SEO are not reflecting, ensure that your Schema Markup is configured correctly. You can test your rich snippets using Google’s Rich Results Testing Tool.

    5. Re-indexing: After making changes, it may take some time for Google to re-index your pages. You can check whether your pages are indexed or not with the help of Google Search Console.

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, please reply to this ticket with your website URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please note that our plugin doesn’t control the website logo in search engines, which is the favicon; it is usually your theme that is generating the favicon, so you need to make sure that your favicon is properly configured. You may check with your theme author for that.

Even so, it is up to Google to decide if they wish to insert the icon on the search engine result page; it will depend on several factors: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/favicon-in-search

Hope this helps and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you require any further assistance.

    Thank you
