Hello. Am using the images from the my website. The one I was testing is 1024×768 pixels. Most of them are that size for the website, actually. What does the featured image need to be?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with pixelated featured images. To ensure that your images display correctly and maintain quality, it’s important to use the recommended dimensions for featured images.

For optimal results, the recommended size for images used on social media sharing (like Facebook) is 1200 pixels wide by 630 pixels tall. While your current images are 1024×768 pixels, which is a decent size, they may not meet the ideal aspect ratio for certain platforms, leading to pixelation or compression issues.

Here are a few tips to improve the quality of your featured images:

    1. Use the Recommended Size: Aim for images that are at least 1200×630 pixels for social sharing.
    2. Check Image Format: Ensure that you are using supported formats like JPEG, PNG, or GIF for best results.
    3. Optimize Image Quality: Before uploading, make sure your images are high quality and not overly compressed.

If you want to ensure your plugin setup is fully correct and adheres to the latest SEO standards, consider our professional setup service available at Rank Math Services. This service requires a PRO subscription and can help optimize your settings further.

Thank you for raising this concern! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reply to this ticket.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math Support and bringing your concern to our attention.

Please set your image size to 1200×630 pixels, which is the recommended size for rich displays across platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Avoid excessive compression and use high-quality JPEG or PNG formats.

Also, confirm the correct image is set under Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Social Meta, and consider regenerating thumbnails using a plugin if you’ve changed image sizes.

For more detailed guidance, please refer to our documentation:

Also, your image size should be acceptable and shouldn’t come out pixelated. If that image quality is good in your local computer (before you uploaded it to WordPress) but comes up pixelated when you view it on your website, you may have an image compression feature in your website that modifies your images.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
