Feature Request – Disable Content AI Error when Content AI is disabled.

    Hi there,

    When Content AI has been disabled (Rank Math -> Dashboard -> Modules -> Content AI) shouldn’t the “Use Content AI to optimise the Post/Page.” also be disabled within the Post/Page Rank Math SEO -> Additional screen element?

    Currently, it’s listing the “Use Content AI to optimise the Post/Page.” display a red “X” and showing “X 1 Errors” in red next to the “Additional” section title.

    If Content AI has been disabled and it’s a proprietary metric that wouldn’t prevent a 100 / 100 score then should that be holding back a 100 / 100 score.

    Sorry but I’ve OCD and that score should be a 100 / 100, when it’s an option that has been disabled and would technically have no affect on a 100 / 100 score as measured and seen purely by the search engines.

    I can understand if Content AI is enabled, but when disabled, I should be able to get 100 / 100.

    Also it’s a bugger to explain to clients the score is really 100 / 100, ignore that score it’s factoring in a disabled feature.

    Thanks,
    Nick R. Taylor.

    P.S. A part from that one minor issue that I truly hope you can include in an update, I can’t imagine it would be difficult for your code ninjas; I absolutely love Rank Math, I pretty much make all my clients use it because it’s genuinely the best! Clients that move from Yoast, say it’s like night and day, and they rank so much better in search engines.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math. We are very sorry to hear about the problem you are having and I do apologize for the inconvenience that has been caused due to that.

    Our Content AI Module and SEO score test is different features and disabling Content AI module won’t disable or turn off Content AI test for SEO score.

    However, as you want to remove Use Content AI to optimise the Post/Page from SEO score test, I would like to suggest you to use the filter I’ve shared below:

     /**
     * Filter to disable Content AI test.
     */
    add_filter('rank_math/researches/tests', function ($tests, $type) {
    	unset($tests['hasContentAI']);
    	return $tests;
    }, 10, 2);

    To learn how you can add filter/hook to your WordPress site, please follow the URL I’ve shared below:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

    Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.
