  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your favicon not showing up in Google search results. It seems like you’ve already taken several steps to ensure that your favicon is correctly set up, including following Google’s guidelines and using the appropriate size.

Here are a few suggestions that might help resolve the issue:

    1. Clear Cache: Sometimes, caching can prevent changes from appearing immediately. We recommend clearing your site cache, plugin cache, and any server-level cache you might have.

    2. Check Favicon Settings: Ensure that your favicon is set correctly in the WordPress Customizer:

      • Navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Appearance → Customize → Site Identity and check if the favicon is set there.
      • You can also use the RealFaviconGenerator plugin to manage your favicon more effectively.
    3. Google Favicon Crawler: Keep in mind that Google’s favicon crawler may take some time to update your favicon in search results. It can take a while for changes to reflect, so patience might be necessary.

    4. Image Format and URL: Ensure that the image URL you are using is accessible and that the image format is supported. The recommended formats are PNG, JPEG, and GIF.

If you have tried all these steps and the issue persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will take over and assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to help you resolve it soon!

I know that Google’s favicon crawler may take some time to update your favicon in search results. But I have waited for the last 3 months. but still no result. Am I missing something?

    Hello,

According to Google’s guidelines, your favicon must be a multiple of 48px square, for example, 48x48px, 96x96px, 144x144px.

The image size you’re using is 512x512, which is not a multiple of 48.

Please resize your favicon to the recommended image size and give Google some time to recrawl your site.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thankyou for your response.
