    Rank Math free

    Hi team,

I have set the favicon icon in my website and also set the site name in rankmath but not getting results as other site. I have mentioned some images and details in Sensitive Data area as don’t want to close the website name publicly.

    Hope you understand my query.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your favicon icon and site name not appearing in search engines. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

    1. Setting the Favicon

To ensure your favicon is set correctly, you can follow these steps:

    • Navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Appearance → Customize → Site Identity.
    • Here, you can upload your favicon under the Site Icon section.

If you have already done this, please ensure that you clear any caching on your site, including plugin and server-level caches. You can refer to this guide on clearing cache in WordPress.

    2. Setting the Site Name

To set your site name correctly in Rank Math:

    • Go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Local SEO.
    • Fill in the required fields, especially the Website Name and ensure that the Schema module is enabled in Rank Math SEO settings.

    3. Request Google to Reindex Your Site

After making these changes, it may take some time for search engines to reflect them. You can expedite this process by requesting Google to reindex your homepage through the Google Search Console. Enter your homepage URL and click on REQUEST INDEXING.

    4. Check Google’s Guidelines

Make sure you are following Google’s guidelines for favicons and site names in search results.

If you continue to experience issues, please reply to this ticket with your website URL so that we can assist you further. A human agent from our support team will take over and provide more specific guidance based on your site’s configuration.

    Hello,

Please note that Rank Math is not responsible for controlling the favicon that appears on your website. Usually, that’s built into the theme options.

The Logo option in Rank Math > Titles & Meta settings is used for your website’s schema data.

You can check the guidelines that Google has for that here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/favicon-in-search

Please make sure that you have the same setup on your website.

    Looking forward to helping you.
