FATAL ERROR WARNING: Rank Math plugin Version 1.0.49 crashed my site! WTF!!! - Support

Your plugin autoupdated to Version 1.0.49 and crashed my site, got a WARNING! Instantly I got a warning from WORDPRESS by email and from my hosting company WPX. My site went down in the middle of a large campaign. I had to connect wit hate hosting provider as I couldn’t login to my site as it kept saying “WORDPRESS HAS ENCOUNTERED A FATAL ERROR”. I then had to disable the plugin and all worked fine once I refreshed the cache and the CDN cache. This is quite a horrible experience. How did this happen? When will the fix happen as I can see on your forums and on the internet this has affected many many sites! Please advise!! I really need to plugin to work as I’m doing a lot of promotion and require my SEO in top form for my website!

Hello,

Sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

It seems like new tables are not getting created in the Database or some old plugin has left an incorrect entry.

Please follow these steps to fix the issue:

1. Take a complete backup of your website
2. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
3. Head over to the Snippets menu in the left sidebar and click Add New

4. Give that post any name and copy the below code in the Code field
```
add_action( 'init', function() {
	delete_option( 'schema-ActionScheduler_StoreSchema' );
} );
```
5. Select ‘Only run in administration area’ option and click the Save and Activate button

6. Open WordPress Dashboard in a new window
7. Then deactivate recently created snippet from here

8. Then activate the Rank Math plugin again
9. Please disable the Code Snippets plugin if you are not going to use it

Please clear all the cache, including the server after following the above process.

This has helped me solve the issue. But now I have another problem. all my TWITTER cards are being affected that its not picking up the IMAGE on twitter. I’ve cleared all the caches, all the CDN caches and still the problem persists. When you type in https://www.shalala.in into twitter it should reveal a CARD IMAGE of a couple and saying Sha La La: LOVE WITHOUT BOUNDARIES! This is not happening since your FATAL error. I cannot even believe you guys have not fixed the and are blaming other plugins or tables not being optimised. I haven’t installed any plugins for weeks and your PLugIN totally crashed my site. This is going to get a lot of people moving to YOAST till you issue an IMMEDIATE update that permanently solves this issue.

Also a WARNING was sent by WORDPRESS themselves to all of us. While the SNIPPET plugin worked – your excuse for it is highly LAIM: “It seems like new tables are not getting created in the Database or some old plugin has left an incorrect entry.”

Please FIX IT!

Yes it is but no mobile its not working…Many people are saying. Can you check? this looks like a DESKTOP version you are seeing.

Hello,

It could be the cache that is serving them.

That has nothing to do with the Rank Math plugin but Twitter’s cache.

I went ahead and have purged that for you from here:

It’s working now. When are you guys udating your plugin to solve the FATAL ERROR that happened. Surely not everyone is going to download the SNIPPET PLugIN etc.

Yes agreed. But they have to take out an UPDATE on the plugin so that this never happens again and restores things to how it was when things were stable. Also make sure you DELETE all your server cache as well as all your caches in wordpress site to make sure the OPEN GRAPH data is refreshed. Then go to Facebook debugger and twitter cards to check your OG information is loading!
