    Help Urgently!!
    The rank math plugin was automatically updated on my site which caused a fatal Error. See details below. I have deactivated the plug-in until I hear back from you. How do I change the setting of the plug-in not to automatically update??

    These plugins are now up to date:
    – Rank Math SEO (from version 1.0.70 to 1.0.71)

    I prefer not to provide access to my live site. I will take a copy of my live site and install in a staging environment. once done I will provide access.

    I took a copy of the live environment and I set up the staging environment. I then tried to activate the Rank Math plugin and it immediately caused the fatal error again.

    I’m unable to access my wordpress dashboard as the recovery email was sent to the staging admin email address which was not setup at the time. I will need to clear out my staging environment and re-start the process. Unless you can provide me with details of how to access the dashboard another way?

    Hello,

    To disable Rank Math on your staging site, you can FTP to the root directory and delete/rename the folder seo-by-rank-math in /wp-content/plugins.

    Hello,

    I’ve also wanted to add that we have already identified this issue as a bug with our previous version v1.0.71. However, we have released a quick update v1.0.71.1 you can download that has already a fix for this.

    Let us know if the issue still persists upon installing the latest version.
