FAQs Schema

I’m experiencing an issue with my FAQ schema markup. When I test the standalone schema code, it appears to be valid. However, when I test the actual webpage that contains the schema using Google’s Rich Results Test tool, the FAQ markup is not recognized as valid, and the tool fails to detect it. What could be causing this discrepancy, and how can I resolve it?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your FAQ schema markup. This discrepancy can occur due to a few reasons:

    1. Visibility Settings: If you have set the visibility of your FAQs to hidden, Google won’t be able to detect the schema on your page. Ensure that the FAQs are visible on the page when testing.

    2. Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, conflicts with other plugins or themes that also generate schema can cause issues. It’s recommended to use only one plugin for generating schema to avoid conflicts. You can check for any plugin/theme conflicts with Rank Math by following this guide.

    3. Implementation Errors: Ensure that you have correctly implemented the FAQ schema using the FAQ by Rank Math block. You can refer to our tutorial on How to Add FAQ Schema for detailed steps.

    4. Testing Method: When testing, make sure you are using the live URL of the page where the FAQ schema is implemented. If the page is not live, the testing tool may not recognize the schema.

After checking these points, if you still encounter issues, please reply to this ticket with your website URL so we can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

As for your issue, there’s no FAQPage schema added by Rank Math. We do see a FAQPage schema that seems to be added by Elementor. To see the schema from Rank Math, please enable it in the Accordion settings like so: https://rankmath.com/kb/faq-schema-elementor/#elementor-accordion

If the issue persists, this is something we need to check closely. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.
