FAQ Schema JSON code not found

    Hi,
This is the first time I have to add a FAQ to a page. I have used the RM FAQ Block in the Gutenberg editor and have entered 3 questions/answers.
However I cannot find the needed JSON code for that FAQ block and https://validator.schema.org/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.yields.io%2Fcareers%2F confirms there is no FAQ Schema.

I have looked through the documentation and it seems I only have to add the FAQ Block and it should work. I have also tested with only the RM plugin enabled, but still no JSON code.

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with the FAQ Schema not appearing on your page. When you use the Rank Math FAQ Block in the Gutenberg editor, it should automatically generate the necessary JSON-LD code for the FAQ Schema.

Here are a few steps to ensure everything is set up correctly:

    1. Ensure you are using the latest version of Rank Math: Sometimes, updates can fix bugs or issues related to Schema generation.
    2. Check your settings: Go to the Rank Math dashboard and ensure that Schema Markup is enabled for your posts/pages.
    3. Validate your page: After saving your changes, use the Google Rich Results Test to check if the FAQ Schema is being detected.

If you have followed these steps and still do not see the JSON code, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so we can investigate further. A human agent from our support team will be able to assist you more thoroughly.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

Yes, FAQ Block should automatically generate the necessary Schema markup. However, in some cases, the schema may not appear if the block is nested inside another container or wrapper block.

To resolve this, please ensure the Rank Math FAQ Block is placed as a top-level block in the editor—not inside a container or custom block.

Let us know if you still don’t see the schema, and we’d be happy to take a closer look.

Thank you, I have now placed the FAQ block inside a default Gutenberg column block instead of a custom Column block provided by the Theme/Builder and the JSON code is generated.

    Hello,

Glad that everything has been sorted out.

Please feel free to reach out to us again in case you need any other assistance.

    We are here to help.

    Thank you.
