FAQ Schema frontend output

#539979
  • Hi RankMath Team

I have a question regarding the usage of your FAQ Schema generator.

As i understand that if one uses Schema Markup for the FAQs on a page according to google the questions/answers must be visible on the same Page to be valid and possibly displayed in the google search results.

Now rank match offers a frontend output via gutenberg blocks or a shortcode which works fine but is limited to a simple list style or a accordion.

Our wish is to Style those questions/answers more freely in a visual appealing way so
my question is: do i need to use that frontend-output that RankMath generates or will it be valid too if we just let it generate the FAQ Schema Code and add the questions/answers independently via pagebuilder to the Frontend so we can easily achieve the Design we want?

    kind regards
    Chris

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

Yes, you’re correct. Google recommends that you must show all of the data visible in the schema code on the frontend, you can achieve that automatically by pasting the shortcode on your content.

However, you can add them (schema data) manually to your posts/pages using your theme/page builder options to comply. This will also save you time styling the shortcode using CSS to be user-friendly. Instead of adding the information using the shortcode, you can simply structure it as a normal article (using text widgets, headings, etc)

The point is that, all the content available for Google to see (schema data) should be visible to visitors as well.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Reinelle

OK that’s what i hoped for, Thanks for confirming!
