Extra words showing up in Google search result titles

    Hey,

I’m having a problem with the post titles on Google search results. For some reason on 3 of my websites using Rankmath I’m getting extra text after my titles on the search results. On all three sites I use the %sitename% at the end of my post titles. But for some reason it’s using my abbreviated site title (which I setup in WordPress settings>general>site title) plus adding the full site title after my abbreviated site title, instead of my abbreviated title on its own. For one the sites Rankmath has added the word logo at the end of the full site title. Do you know why this is and how I can fix it to just show the abbreviated site title that I added?
    Let me know,
    Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

If Google displays different meta titles or descriptions on the search results page, I would suggest checking this link for the checklist and more information:

You can also share the affected URL/s in the sensitive data section so we can check on our end and advise accordingly.

It is completely secure, and only our support staff has access to that section.

    I hope that helps.
