Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the exported redirects. It seems that the source URL is being exported in a serialized format, which can indeed bloat the export file.
To ensure that you only get the clean source URLs in your export, you might want to check if there are any settings in your Rank Math configuration that affect how redirects are exported. Unfortunately, the context does not provide specific details on adjusting these settings directly.
If this issue persists, we recommend replying to your ticket with more details about your site and the specific steps you took to export the redirects. A human agent from the Rank Math Support team will be able to assist you further and provide a solution tailored to your situation.
Thank you for raising this concern!
Hello,
Can you please confirm which method you’re using to export the Rank Math redirections? In the free version of the plugin, you have only the Export to .htaccess
and Export to Nginx config file
options.
Exporting to a CSV file is a feature of the Rank Math PRO plugin.
Also, the format you’ve shared is used in the database to store the source URL of the Rank Math redirection. This is not what we export.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Absolutely shocking that you can’t export redirects for non-technical purposes for free, but you can export htaccess… Completely backwards.
I exported it using the import/export in tools, but I now see that it’s only for settings.
Also, this is definitely what the plugin exports, so no need to make a comment that it’s “not what we export”. I didn’t just type it out myself. It might be that I didn’t use the right tool for what I intended (because it’s paywalled), but it’s 100% something YOU export.
Horrible experience.
Hello,
The format you’re seeing is how data is stored in the database, not the intended export format for redirections. The correct export options for redirections are available in Rank Math PRO, while the free version allows exporting to .htaccess or Nginx config.
If you’re using another import/export tool to retrieve data directly from the database, it is expected to see that format.
If you need redirections in a user-friendly format, we recommend using the PRO version’s CSV export feature.
