    Hey gang,

Having issues getting my stuff index since I started using the plugin. Not sure why. But I believe i had everything set to ‘noindex’ when I started, then after reading up on it found that it should be on by default then only turn off where I needed it.

But I have 100s of pages saying excluded by index, but when I look at them, that’s not the case. I’ve tried clearing cache, different browsers, etc but can’t figure out how to fix it.

I’ve also read through the faqs you have here and they don’t address this issue.

    Ideas?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked the pages on your screencast, but they are already set to index. Also, I’m unable to find the noindex tag in their source code. They are already included in your sitemap, and your robots.txt looks fine.

In this case, since the last crawl date from the error was outdated, please click the Validate Fix button in the Coverage section area

    Validate

Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your site.

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Hi, but it’s all of them? Not just the 17 I showed. See the screenshot attached? Something is preventing google from indexing any of the pages on the site and like I said it started when I installed the plugin. Any ideas how to fix it?

    Hello,

As the pages are correctly marked index and also submitted to the sitemaps, please clear your website and server’s cache (if any) and remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap: /sitemap_index.xml

    Here’s a guide with more details: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/

Further, give Google some time to crawl the website again to see if the issue gets fixed.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

Thanks, I’ve got 4 sitemaps, tried to delete, but they don’t go away…lol

    Hello,

The category-sitemap.xml can’t be deleted because it was automatically added as part of the sitemap_index.xml. If you delete the sitemap_index.xml, all of its sub-sitemaps will be deleted too. If you hadn’t done it already, please remove the sitemap_index.xml and resubmit it and wait for it (and the sub-sitemaps) to be recrawled.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
