I should add that nowhere on the various pages is there a meta tag with noindex and the Rankmath settings are to index for each page.

If all the settings are fine then you just need to wait for Google to crawl and index those pages. Google must have found a noindex meta tag the last time they crawled the affected pages.
If the issue persists then you can share the affected URLs in the sensitive data section.

Hi,
Googlw has yet to come back with recent pages that have been resubmitted but I have had a look at some other pages. If you could take a look that would be great.
Some of out posts are being thrown as errors and not indexed by Google. They are showing “noindex” tags.
For example:
but in the Rank Math settings for the post the Advanced -> Robots meta setting is “Index”

Please follow the below steps and see if that fixes the issue:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
3. Clear your website’s cache and remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap: your-domain.com/sitemap_index.xml
.
Further, give Google some time to crawl your website again and see if the issue gets fixed.
