Rank math sets all sitemap to noindex by default. This is because sitemaps are only meant to be crawled, not indexed, you don’t want to have your sitemap appearing on SERPs.
That said, when it comes to GSC and sitemaps, all you need is to head to the Search Console and under sitemaps, submit only the main sitemap file(sitemap_index.xml). You should then give it sometime to crawl.

I was actually facing some problem. Some of my new pages were not getting indexed so I submitted both my sitemaps yesterday

And I can now see my new pages being indexed.
Is it a problem to submit both the sitemap in GSC?

Sorry for the delay.
We always recommend that you submit only the main sitemap /sitemap_index.xml
The page sitemap is included in the main sitemap and will thus be crawled under the submitted sitemap_index.xml. You only need to add the sitemap_index.xml file, and Google will use it to find the others.
