Sometimes you are doing some redesign work or changing some plugins and you know you will have some 404 errors due to it until you finish working on it. To avoid having your 404 Monitor logs filled with those errors that you already know their reasons, you can exclude them.
Anyway, usually is better to do those changes in a staging site so you don’t need to exclude anything and you don’t have any 404 errors.
